Hot News Items March 28 - April 3, 2005
**********IMPORTANT REMINDER*********
Sunday April 3 – It is time once again for our clocks to “Spring ahead” as we make the transition to the beauty of Spring and then into Summer.
This Week’s News
Health Regulations mandate that everyone working at the BBQ and the Soup/Chili Supper as a cook or server wears hats, visors, or hairnets. Most of the men won’t look right in hairnets and many of the ladies don’t like ball caps. So, we are ordering ball caps and visors for anyone who would like one. The approximate cost is $10 each. We intend to have them embroidered with the church name and the PC (USA) . If you are interested in placing an order please contact the church office by March 31.
High School and Middle School Students!!!! There are retreats in April for each of your age groups. Both retreats are at Covenant Point Camp in Holts Summit. If you are interested in attending we need to send in your registration materials by April 1st. Please contact Rev. O’Dowd if you’d like more information. I can tell you from past experience, these are usually a pretty good time!!!!
Wednesday, March 30 – the Choir meets in the sanctuary at 7pm. Come out and make beautiful music to the risen Lord!
Next Sunday, April 3 – We will receive the Deacon’s Mile of Pennies Offering during worship. Also at 6pm there will be a JAMPAC event for all ages in the Fellowship Hall. You are asked to bring paper products for the Hope Center and come out to enjoy the evening of games, laughter, fun, snacks, and a cake walk with folks from the area Presbyterian Churches. This is also the last day to bring gifts for our Doorstep Shower celebrating the birth of Lillian Mae Orf and John Thomas Gamm. Young Mr. Gamm was at church on Easter and was the center of attention for quite a while afterwards!
Saturday, April 2 – You’re invited to a bridal shower for Lani Tepen at 10am in the Fellowship Hall. Please RSVP by March 30th if you plan to attend.
